All throughout November and December small groups of Spanish Honor Society members have been traveling to the Manheim Central Middle School in order to share their love of the Spanish language with a group of gifted seventh graders.  These middle school students have expressed a desire to learn the Spanish language and SHS is delighted to help them achieve their goal. The students are learning how to say various words in Spanish; such as their name, the days of the week, and how to describe family members.  The SHS members encourage conversation between the students so they can practice together in other settings. Each new lesson reviews the previous, helping the students to retain the information. The students are eager learners so the Society is having a fun time teaching them.
