Great job finishing the season with a win yesterday against Kraybill Mennonite 2-0. Kirsten Myer added another goal to her total and Kaley Hatch scored her first of the season. Both teams finished with a winning record. Nice job!
Please remember that uniform turn in day is Monday5/14. All uniforms should be washed and folded. I’ll meet you outside of Mrs. Benner’s locker room on Monday at 2:45. This should go quickly if everyone is there with uniforms folded (jerseys should be folded together).
To the players: Good luck with whatever sport you choose to play in the fall. I encourage you to do what you love and no matter what sport or instrument or job or whatever you do is, do it to the best of your ability. There’s no point in doing something if you don’t give it 100%. The hard work is in the off season.
To the parents: Thanks so much for your support throughout the season–cheering the girls on, driving to away games, picking kids up on time, washing uniforms, providing snacks…it’s all very much appreciated.
See you in the fall!

Let’s just say the game against Warwick didn’t go as planned with a 0-6 loss for the varsity team and a 0-2 loss by the JV team. Let’s forget about yesterday and finish strong against Kraybill today.
Practice for today is cancelled due to rain. Game tomorrow at Warwick.
ELCO–Another hard fought tie (2-2) with two goals coming from Kirsten Myer. JV won 1-0 with a goal by Taylor Hess.
Norlebco–Varsity won 3-0 in oppressive heat with goals by Kirsten Myer, Anna Middleton, and Alyssa Wells. JV also won 6-0 with goals by Taylor Hunsecker, Maria Carvell, Erin Wee, Ashlyn Bucher, and Jen Dougherty (2).
Ephrata–Despite coming back to tie the game early in the second half, varsity lost in the last 30 seconds 1-2. The goal was scored by Nicole Hanselman. JV also lost 0-2.
Monday 5/7 –away game at Ephrata–both games at 4pm
Tuesday 5/8–practice 3:15-4:30
Wednesday 5/9–away game at warwick–both games at 4pm
Thursday 5/10–home game vs Kraybill Mennonite–varsity at 4pm and JV at 5:15
***For those that are in the concert on Thursday night, you can shower here at the school after the game***
Varsity lost 1-3, but our one goal was scored by Caity Howett finishing a beautiful corner kick by Kirsten Myer.
JV played well and won 2-0 with goals by Taylor Hess and Maria Carvel.

Thursday 5/3–practice 3:15-5:15
Friday 5/4–Away game at NORLEBCO (I believe we play back to back at this school so I’m guessing it’s a 4:00 and 5:15 start time)

With Friday’s win against Cedar Crest, the varsity team improved their record to 5-2-1. Alyssa Wells scored both goals (one off a corner kick–finally!) to give the team a 2-1 win. It was the best game I’ve seen from this team this season. Well done!
The JV team suffered a 0-1 loss unfortunately.

The varsity team squeaked out a win vs Lebanon with a score of 2-1. Caity Howett and Emily Doerschuk scored goals.
The JV team exploded in the 2nd half winning 6-1. Goals were scored by Alex Geib, Allison Dombach, Payton Shekalus, Megan Hoover, and Addison Brunner (2).

Monday 4/23–practice 3:15-5:15
Tuesday 4/24–away game at Lebanon (In the past, we have played back to back so Varsity is at 4pm and JV is at 5:15–however, I have not heard if that is the case this year or not)
Wednesday 4/25–practice 3:15-4ish, walking over to the HS and eating dinner together, working the chicken dinner from 5pm-6pm. Pick up will be at the HS. I’d encourage girls to go watch the high school game that evening.
Thursday 4/26–Home game vs Cedar Crest (Varsity at 4pm, JV at 5:15)
Friday 4/27–practice 3:15-5:00
***Chicken dinner update/help***
All Middle School and High School Soccer families are asked to supply 20 individually wrapped desserts for the fundraiser dinner on Wednesday. (2 or 3 large cookies, 2 2×2 brownies, 1 whoopie pie, etc,,) These are the only desserts we have, and we rely on every Family to bring a dessert so that we have enough!
There are 2 drop off opportunities:
- the day of the dinner, from 2:30 to 4;00 at the back cafeteria door
- Tuesday night, from 4:30 – 6:15, at 234 Hershey drive (across from the High School)
