About Dr. Clark

William ClarkWilliam Clark is the superintendent of the Manheim Central School District since January 2010. He has a B.S. from Pennsylvania State University, a M. Ed. from Shippensburg University and a D. Ed. from Pennsylvania State University. Prior to becoming Superintendent of Manheim Central, Dr. Clark was Superintendent at Milton Area School District located in Northumberland County. In addition, he was Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, High School Principal, Tech-Prep Principal, and Assistant Principal at St. Marys Area School District. Before moving into administration, he taught mathematics at the Franklin County Vocational Technical School. While working in administration, he was able to teach undergraduate students Math at Pennsylvania State University and graduate students School Law. He has also taught at the graduate level for Wilkes University teaching School Law and Social Foundations. He has seventeen articles published in various professional journals and magazines such as High School Magazine, Connections, Pennsylvania Educational Leadership, The Journal of Educational Alternatives, and The School Administrator. Article topics include book reviews, alternative education initiatives, and strategies for Tech-Prep programs. He is a manuscript reviewer for Pennsylvania Educational Leadership. Further, he has presented at several state and national conferences such as; Pennsylvania Association of School Administrators, Pennsylvania School Board Association, Pennsylvania Association of Curriculum and Development, Safe Schools Coalition, and National Tech-Prep Network. In addition to his publications and coursework, he is a member of Pennsylvania Association of School Administrators, Pennsylvania Association Curriculum and Development, Pennsylvania School Study Council, awarded in 2007 the Pennsylvania Association School Administrator Ralph Morgan Award for Advancement in Vocational Education and awarded in 2008 the University Council For Educational Administration Excellence in Educational Leadership Award.
