We had a GREAT first week of school! In addition to getting to know each other and our school, we all found that we are big fans of Pete the Cat. We read Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes and Pete the Cat: Rocking in My School Shoes (both written by Eric Litwin and illustrated by James Dean). We also found this fun song/video on You Tube. Check it out and sing along!
Just last week, I was lucky enough to spend some time with amazing people learning about new and exciting ways to help children express themselves through writing. One of the things I got to try was digital storytelling using a website called http://littlebirdtales.com. Below, you’ll find my first attempt (without sound) at creating a story using this site. I can’t wait to try more on my own and with my new kindergarteners once school begins!
