Spring Meeting Follow-Up

Thanks to everyone who attended the meeting last night.  For those who were unable to attend, we’re sorry we missed you  [Congratulations to our Boys Volleyball team for their win, and we trust the MS Spring Concert was an enjoyable evening as well].

“Drive One 4 UR School” event slated

Once again Ford Motor Company and Hondry Ford are holding the Drive One 4 UR School event to help booster clubs raise money for their respective teams.  Come out on Saturday, May 5 to take your test drive.  Be sure to mark “Boys Soccer” on your sheet to ensure we are credited for your test drive.  Remember, this is a No-Strings-Attached event.  NO sales pitches.  NO follow-up phone calls.  NO expectations whatsoever.  Just drive a Ford, then drive home with the satisfaction that you helped the team raise some much-needed funding for the 2013 season.

You can help us even more by spreading the word to your neighbors, friends, and relatives so they, too, can come drive a car for the soccer team.  Thanks in advance for your help in getting the word out to everyone.

2012 Team Database Forming

We have started the process of updating our team database for the 2012 season.  The LIVE FORM is now available for you to input your information.  We are offering some new communication means this year, particularly as it relates to text messages.  So be sure to consider that option as well.

We will have computers available at the April 26th Rally Meeting where you can complete the online form.  (A test run has been made on the form, so we’re hoping last year’s issues will be avoided.)

However, to speed up the process, we are making the form available to you early.

So you’re busy, right?  You don’t have time to regularly check the team blog.  Then you find some time, head to the bookmarked site, only to realize that there haven’t been any changes made.  This can be frustrating and simply wastes even more of those valuable minutes.  One of the benefits of the blog now rests in your ability to subscribe to the RSS feed.  “The what?”  That’s what I said.  You can receive messages through a variety of means alerting you to updates and new content on the blog.  The following link will provide you with more information.  There’s even a video which further explains the blog/RSS feed process.  I recommend you check it out, then proceed with subscribing to the our blog.  Directions are included at the bottom of the post.  Click here

Site updates & upgrades in the works

I know, I know. You’re saying, “FINALLY!” Right? So here we go again. I must admit that the blog site has been ignored for some time now. I don’t need to tell you that. If you’ve been checking here, you’ve been able to tell. Good grief, the last post was back in August 2011. We’re working with the tech staff to get some things ironed out in hopes that this becomes a much more functional site for players, parents and fans of the team. At the same time, as a staff we’re trying to work out the changes from a typical website versus a blog, what those changes mean, and how running the two different site styles differ. All that said, please check back here in the very near future for information on how to make this a more functional site on your end and how to make this site work FOR YOU.
