Mrs. Sara Uibel Brubaker
Music Department
I am very happy to be directing the 5/6 and 7/8 choruses  at the Middle School.  Early in my career I taught in Frederick County,Maryland and in the School District of Lancaster, however since 1990 you could find me teaching music at Burgard, Mastersonsville, Stiegel, Sporting Hill or at the High School.
I started making music at White Oak Elementary school, graduated from Manheim Central and later Gettysburg College with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education.  In 2002, I earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Eastern Mennonite University. For a musician, learning is a constant process and I have continued music study with excellent teachers from several graduate schools. My opportunity serving as the Head Teacher at Burgard Elementary lead me to begin study for the Principal’s Certificate from Penn State University.

Concert Dates for Parents

7th and 8th Grade Chorus – Holiday Concert, 12/17/2011 and Spring Concert, 5/10/2012

5th and 6th Grade Chorus- Holiday Concert, 12/ 8/2011 and Spring Concert, 4/26/2012

Dear parents and students,

Thank you for supporting your child’s musical opportunities in Band, Orchestra or Chorus.  We are very pleased to be working with these talented and enthusiastic students.

This letter is to notify you of our required concert dates for the 2011- 2012 school year.

The students are graded for their participation in class and for their participation in performances. Performances are graded as a major test. There are specific procedures for handing student absenses from performances.  Please immediately notify your director in writing if your child has a conflict.  Thank you very much,
