Marking Period 3
Marking Period 3 ends on Friday, March 30. Report cards are scheduled to be sent home with students on Friday, April 13.
Spring Pictures
Spring pictures will be coming home with students today or tomorrow. If you do not wish to purchase any pictures please return all the pictures to your child’s homeroom teacher. If you wish to purchase some or all of the pictures please follow the directions found inside the picture envelope. If you do purchase pictures don’t forget to add PA sales tax to the total.
School in Session March 5
As a reminder, school will be in session Monday, March 5, 2012. This is a weather make up day that will be used to make up the day off from the flooding in the fall.
Marking Period 3 Progress Reports
Marking period 3 progress reports will be sent home with students on Friday, February 24. Please review the progress report with your child, then sign and return the envelope to your child’s homeroom teacher. Signed envelopes are due back by Tuesday, February 28.
Papers Coming Home
Students will coming home with the following papers…
- The Giving Tree – MCMS is collecting socks and toiletry items for the Manheim CAP (Community Action Program). Donations will be accepted from December 5-16.
- MC Boys Basketball “Kids Night Out” – on Saturday, December 17, children in grades 3-7 are invited to spend the night with the Boys Basketball team learning about the game of basketball.
- HALT Parent Survey – This is a bullying survey that can be completed online.
Report Cards
Report Cards are being sent home with students today. Inside you should find the following papers…

Please keep all the papers and review them with your child. Then sign the report card envelope next to MP1 and have your child return the empty envelope to their homeroom teacher.
Remember, conferences are on Monday and Thursday next week. Please call the Middle School office to schedule a conference or see the attachment in the previous post for more information.
A few updates…
- Friday 11/4 is the end of Marking Period One.
- The annual MCMS Veterans Day Assembly is on Thursday, November 10. It will begin promptly at 9am. Any veterans who wish to attend should RSVP with Mrs. Kouros in the office.
- Report Cards are scheduled to go home with students on Friday, November 11.
- Conferences will be held in the evening on Monday, November 14, and in the afternoon and evening on Thursday, November 17. Progress Reports
On Friday students received their first marking period progress report and their PSSA results. Students should return the progress report folder back to school signed by a parent no later than Wednesday 10/5.
MCMS Picture Days
You child has been given 2 photo forms for the upcoming MCMS picture days. One form is for the group photos, which will be on Monday 8/26. We will be taking a picture of the entire 7th grade class. The other form is for individual student pictures on Tuesday, Sept. 27. If you are interested in purchasing pictures please return the appropriate form with payment on the day the picture is being taken.
Back-To-School Night
Back-To-School Night for grades 6, 7, and 8 will be held on Thursday, September 15th. The evening will begin at 6:30 in the Middle School Auditorium. Students will be bringing home a paper that includes a copy of the their child’s schedule. Following this schedule will allow parents to visit with all of their child’s teachers.
